What people say…

Opera Now Catherine Young almost stole the show as a regulation traumatised, serially drunk and abused Pauline – bringing some point and much diversion to a cipherish character
The Sunday Times Vocally plumptious
The Telegraph Catherine Young's soft-grained mezzo-soprano glowed beautifully in Amastris' lament
Opera Britannia UK impressed with true Handelian coloratura
The Arts Desk Catherine Young makes an impression as a Connolly-in-the-making, her Amastris both touching and impressively sung
The Spectator chameleonic
The Arts Desk Distractingly good, however, is Catherine Young's Pauline drunkenly tragic in her aria and full-Broadway vampish in the Intermezzo
